I want to let you know that the official Liberty Ridge Neighborhood Association web site will be transitioning away from this domain, as part of the transition from MEM Property Management to Taylor Management as our management company. Taylor includes a web site for the neighborhood as part of their service.

This is also part of a transition in the LRNA Board. I and two other members have resigned as a result of several concerns — not including the transition to Taylor Management, which we all supported — and there will be a new election for 3 open positions at the annual meeting on November 17 at 7 p.m.

If you are a resident of Liberty Ridge you should have received a nomination form for these open positions.

I would urge you to run or support one of your neighbors, because it’s important that we have a full and functioning Board. I have been a member for most of the past 15 years, and we have handled many critical matters, including the snow removal, the repaving of the courts, and the replenishment of the Reserve Fund and the operating budget in order to handle the ongoing maintenance and the replacement of key elements as needed (e.g., the playground equipment in the tot lot).

Having spent this amount of time on the Liberty Ridge board, I have now moved on to serve on the Master Association Board, with a specific focus on the landscaping and maintenance of the entrance signs (including ours), so I am not planning to run again. But I will support anyone who commits to accepting fiscal responsibility, avoiding costly and protracted disputes with residents, and the approval of homeowner improvements throughout the neighborhood.

I will also make available to a new LRNA Board, providing they agree to maintain it as an open platform for dialogue, information, and resident engagement.
